I met with clients the other day to help them narrow down their choice of wedding fonts. I would like to say, they were very easy to work with and already had in mind the style of font they were looking for: not too traditional, not too modern, something pretty and easy to read. This helped me narrow down the three pairings that I posted before. They decided to go with a combination of two separate pairings. Here’s a look at what they came up with:
As you can see, the feature font (Burgues Script) is very readable and adds just enough flourish without getting to be too scrolly. The text font (Copperplate Gothic Light) adds just enough of a modern touch without being too hard (as some modern fonts can be). The paper is a textured cream colored cotton stock that will work nicely with the color scheme they have chosen. This couple proved to be a good example for soon-to-bers. They had a good idea of what they wanted, knew exactly what they wanted, and didn’t spend too much time making a decision. It is my belief that, while font is crucial to an invitation, font is not crucial to the marriage. After all, what’s a wedding without a marriage?
